Vehicle build quality is the worst I have experienced in my 20+ years in the industry. Management loves having countless meetings to indentify and discuss build quality concerns, yet no one actually wants to roll up their sleeves and find ways to address it. When quality issues are identified, it takes a minimum of 3 to 6 months to actually have engineering and manufacturing implement the fixes as there seems to be no urgency in getting anything done unless you keep asking people nicely to do their jobs. Yet, there are thousands of poor customers/fleet owners that have to tolerate vehicles with sub-standard build quality. To make things worse, the company’s field based technical specialists can’t even fix a sandwich let alone diagnose vehicle technical problems.

Most departments are not like that. Especially the ones with high turnover rate. Working level is overloaded due to recent layoff and exodus, with no signs of reversal. Office Politics, to the point that substantial workload is generated to win these political fights. Mismanagement, the last 3 years engineering been largely muted/ignored. The mismanagement above in-turn cost some engineers their livelihood recently.
