Pros

Paycheck for a time being, learning international geography, good benefits for men if you got in a few years ago. Good stepping stone if you are under 28. Very hands on. Some very nice, intelligent people of individual level. Business has high profit margins and GM level is rewarded well. Arnaud is inspiring CEO - but shielded by minions.

Cons

High turnover- new top management every 3 mos. Nearly 100 pct turnover in sales and marketing, hr as well as many acquired companies. Staff often disappear ( fired) with no announcements. Blatant discrimination. Board has 2 women out of 20. Over 80 pct of GMs men. Most staff under age 35. Bias toward continental Europeans. In general, institutional poor treatment towards women (lower salaries then men in same roles, lack of career development, statutory mat leave). Leadership is above company values. Top- down framework where employees, not managers get 360 reviews. Lack of trust in employees. Secretive, non-transparent, fearful culture where open discourse is not tolerated. Difference between job description sold and what you do. Many join and find they have no budget or support. At Chiswick Park, many candidates see the beautiful office and expect work conditions like Fortune 100-- it's not what it says on the tin. Poor IT and reporting systems. Poor morale- If under GM level, rarely will you be given chance to present your work to execs. Authors names routinely removed from PowerPoint presentations and replaced by bosses' name. Many departments have no development plans. Competence and hard work expected but not awarded. Few long- term staff stay. Most people are eventually fired.

Pros

Competitive salary Some lovely people Opportunity to travel abroad Interesting industry Opportunity to get promoted and live in other parts of the world For medical staff it's an amazing job

Cons

-No support from senior management. -The company does not invest in marketing.Marketing is done reactively with no plan or strategy in place. -There's a focus on keeping profit margins in detriment of investing the money back in the business. - Job description for marketing professionals are very deceptive and several have left shortly before joining due to the frustrations here stated -Terrible maternity leave -Extremely bureaucratic and political -Hight turnaround -Founders are still heavily involved and head of departments don't have the authority and autonomy to bring change. Projects take years to finish, due to the huge number of stakeholders involved.

Pros

Fast paced and interesting work.

Cons

If you are good at what you do you will not progress, as the people above you are worried you will take their jobs. They will go out of their way to make your life a living hell so that you leave.
