      Great for recent graduates looking for international experience.

      Pros

      Travel opportunities and the ability to run an organization and develop sustainable develop programs. It the chicken and egg solution for those wanting to get into the international development field but don't have a huge amount of work experience.

      Cons

      Little training, lots responsibility and high expectations with a very low salary for those working abroad by USA standards. However, depending on what country you work in you may be able to actually save more than you would if you worked at headquarters in San Francisco where salaries are mid-range.

      Pros

      Very fun work environment and being around well-traveled young people is great. The atmosphere is fun and there are a lot of happy hours, etc. Also, you don't usually need to stay late like some other jos.

      Cons

      Pretty bad pay and benefits packages comparatively speaking. Little to no room for career development and professional advancement. Some managers are completely untrained.
