Pros

Rank and file workers here are for the most part kind and friendly. They care about the missions of each of the Intrax businesses and want their customers to have a positive experience. Resources for professional development are generous and there are usually opportunities for ambitious people to grow or advance.

Cons

Your experience at Intrax may vary greatly depending on which business unit you work in. Ayusa, Centers and AuPairCare are led by smart, thoughtful human beings and this results in a warm community of colleagues. Global Internships or Work Travel? BE CAREFUL. Employee turnover at the former is ridiculously high, due to the negative style of its top leaders. Some businesses have a reasonably well thought out business plan while others have no clue. Affecting all business units, the CEO and CIO have an inconsistent vision which results in major changes every 6 months whether they are needed or not. Many talented, good people are negatively impacted. The average employee at Intrax only knows what is going on in their immediate area. No attempt is made to communicate the vision of the company or where it is seeing success - and there are many legitimate stories which could easily be shared. The result is a lot of gossip, much of it uninformed and worse than the reality.

Pros

Friends and travel are nice, but very little else.

Cons

Micromanaging, Poor management, Low Pay. Managers and directors will very few leadership skills, and others who are simply power hungry.

Pros

HR department tries their best to boost morale with a holiday luncheon including really nice raffle prizes.

Cons

Where to begin? Travel abroad would be a nice perk if advance notice is ever given! I was told 3 times that I would be traveling to SE Asia with less than a week's notice. I was also expected to front all expenses myself... with my own credit card. It always took several months to be reimbursed (after lengthy paperwork). I was expected to flirt with executive chefs. In fact, I was taken aside once because I decided to read a magazine for part of a lengthy flight instead of constantly engaging with the chef (who was drunk the entire time). I was uncomfortable with escorting the chef to the red light district and was also given a "talk to" about this. This is a visa mill. These poor students pay thousands of dollars to wait tables. Employees are treated just as horribly. Please know that all of these reviews are honest and true.
