Great company but limited upward mobility

Pros

Great company with great people. A growing company that will soon be one of the top investment firms in the world. Markets products to advisers, does not market directly to the public.

Cons

Limited upward mobility. Hires mainly externally. some groups suffer from high turnover. Investment managers are often fired for short periods of under-performance or personal conflicts.

Pros

Invesco will give you what you ask for, and what you prove you are capable of. Of course, it is a large company and moves largely as one would expect for its AUM and employee count - but where you show talent, they will let you run.

Cons

It is a big company, and thus always squeezing efficiencies out. Expect them to watch the nickles and pennies as aggressively as the dollars.
