Why has most of the Sales team quit?

Pros

Great company atmosphere and supportive environment, if that is something you need. The unlimited vacation is something of a double-edged sword. Very good benefits package - one of the best I've seen in a company this size. Good sales ramp for first 6 months.

Cons

Since they introduced a new comp plan in 2021, they have lost nearly every sales person with any experience. Only a couple top people have stuck around since I came on board and that is because they get to cherry pick deals. They attempting to cover up for this by moving people around and mixing up territories, but we all see what's going on. This is 99% due to the CRO (who got his job due to nepotism). He is painfully inexperienced for this role and barely treading water. He's fired more than 1 good person to cover up for his inadequacies. There are good people around him, but he's not good. However due to his family connections, he is unlikely to be fired. He needs a babysitter to make sure he doesn't keep putting his foot in his mouth in public events. If you're a sales person and NEED a job, go ahead and take it. They have a good ramp-up program for the first 6 months or so. After that, watch out. I am out of here as well soon. Right now they are just a paid job search gig for me and I won't let the door hit me in the backside on my way out. There's good reason why they can't hold on to good sales people for very long.

We recognize the transition from a public company to a private company changes the way in which information is shared. We regularly share our financial results in our monthly InvoiceCloud All Hands Meetings to be as transparent as possible. We are really excited about our year-to-date results, and we have big plans for 2025 and beyond. Our private equity partners, are just that, partners. We look to them for industry best practices and advice, as well as leverage their resources and expertise. There have been some staffing changes to better align us to our north star – and we’ve tried to be as transparent as possible. We understand that change can be challenging, and we are actively working to address the concerns that have been raised. Our leadership team is committed to creating a positive work environment where all employees feel valued and heard. We are making significant improvements and welcome new team members who are ready to be part of our transformation. Together, we believe we can build a stronger company.
