Pros

Getting the chance to work on your communication skills with customers and working with people. You kind of work in a team of people in each department so i guess you'll get some teamwork experience.

Cons

Pay is low and education is not required so it's unlikely that you will be able to move up. The benefits are not very good and it is only offered to full time employees.

Pros

Fair compensation in pay, good to better taining in human recources. Pleasant counterparts at district and store level. Associates give some of the best customer service in the industry

Cons

I guess if anything, the company needs to take a harder look at it's top management/directors. Not a lot of smiles on store management faces these days due to reorganizations.

Pros

Some of the best reasons to work at J C Penney are for one, the customer service experience. There are pleny of opportunites wo experience customer service. Also, the you get a chance to work on a team.

Cons

Some of the downsides of working a J. C. Penney is the fact that you have to stay after the store is closed and help each department clean up.
