Pros

The people I work with are incredibly talented and dedicated to doing great work. Work is interesting and never boring.

Cons

Management has spent years cutting staffing and benefits while providing little to no merit increases. They continually ask staff to do more with less support or inadequate tools/systems. Any perks have slowly been reduced or cut. The most controversial cut was reming lower level managers from the bonus pool while keeping in their non-managed peers. These managers who are some of our best and brightest are being penalized monetarily for taking on the extra risk and work of management. How illogical and degrading. Bad behavior amongst some groups that allows for a culture of disrespect.

Thank you for taking the time to share this detailed feedback. We are happy to hear that you enjoy your work and working with talented and dedicated people. J.D. Power has gone through a lot of changes over the past few years, including changes to our compensation and benefits plans. Additionally, the onset of the pandemic brought some disruption to our Focal cycle. This year, our annual Focal process is about to commence and with a full market-based merit for all our global locations. We are also pleased to have introduced two paid three-day weekends at the start and end of summer, and we just announced two additional paid holidays at year-end. Focus Fridays (no meeting days) have also been welcomed change. The company takes claims of bad behavior/disrespectful behavior very seriously. Please reach out to HR, your manager or send an email to the VoE (Voice of the Employee) email box, if you’d like to discuss in more detail. -J.D. Power

Pros

- Open to listening to the teams - Teams were friendly - Attempt at having a fun culture

Cons

- Burnout: I was working 70+ hours a week during the peak of the pandemic. When I let upper management know that I was struggling with my workload (headcount on my team was reduced by 40%), I was told to take a few days off. Great, in theory, until you come back to a looming inbox. - Lack of transparency: Everything was a secret, unless you had an "in" with other departments. - Lack of leadership: The organizational structure was a complete mess. Nobody knew who did what or where to go to get help. - No room for growth: Once you're hired in for a position, you can't leave that position. - "Boys" Club mentality: It's the 21st century. Let's stop with the "little lady" actions. - Onboarding: It is a nightmare. There was no training or options to support leadership.
