Pros

You get paid to do almost nothing because this place is so SLOW. There's absolutely no reason for the work to be so slow or teams so big...

Cons

Everything is old. The systems, the tech, the people, the culture... Managers pick favorites and are unfair. They need their ego stroked at all times. I have personally experienced microagressions and "jokes" for just asking questions and trying to be proactive. Managers want to be product owners, baby sitters, subject matter experts, tech leads, all in one. They do not trust you to do the work. Innovation is absolutely discouraged here. Everything is overly complicated for no reason. A lot of stop gap solutions that have been in place for decades. Zero reliable docuemntation. Projects that could be done in weeks or months take years here. This place is not agile at all. Meetings about meetings, everything lives in a million excel sheets, work that could be done by 1 person is split up and given to 10 people cause things are just so slow.

Pros

I can’t think if any—good benefits, but far from great, which is what they always promote. Saying it don’t make it true!

Cons

Horrible management, directors get together and gossip about their direct reports as I personally witnessed on numerous occasions, old white women in director roles are the worst. They talk about their perfect culture all the time but they’re blind to the realities of how no turnover breeds an unhealthy, gossip based culture. I cannot wait until I can get out. And the number of directors and VPs who are completely unqualified for their roles. They say people get promoted not based on their skills as much as culture,. And you can see that with all the directors and VPs who have no expertise in their fields but gang up on the victim of the day. Ive seen it over and over again. Just dare to state your opinion if it differs. You’ll have a target on your back forever and you’ll be shunned by your co-workers because your director will inevitably start putting out negative info about those people. And HR is a joke—I would never go to them. A consensus of my friends say HR is the very worst department in the organization. All they do is cover for bad directors and VPs, of which there are tons! You cannot trust ANYONE in HR. And rampant racism. As any person of color who works there and they’ll tell you HR is racist. Any POC are tokens.

Pros

Absolutely none at all to report

Cons

Dictator management, submissive to the Director. Went out of their way to treat subordinate staff unfairly. Constant role changes to appease Director. Administrative office operates completely separate from production plant. Favoritism runs rapid. Demeaned and insulted, HR was part of the problem. HR inappropriate behavior. Toxic work environment - BEWARE!
