Pros

Benefits. Great cafeterias, free coffee/tea, nail/hair salon, gym, company events, continuing education -- best I've ever experienced.

Cons

Major league backbiting and politics. I worked for a very strange and fairly new department which will go unnamed. Very intelligent people, but oh-so lacking in reality. No professional savvy with the group I worked for and most of the people either kept to themselves or paired off with a few others. You won't be 'let in' to the group. Don't even try to ask for help ... you are pretty much on your own. The person who ran this unique department had major ego issues ... most of them did. They use Gmail as their company email platform --- odd, odd, odd. If you are a contractor, your chances of being hired permanently are quite slim, regardless of what recruiters tell you.

Pros

Great pay, benefits, perks, and lots of great coworkers. If you drink the Kool aid and play the game you can go far. Could be a really great opportunity for those who don't mind corporate bureaucracy and being forced to be hybrid.

Cons

The push for 3 days in office was not what I was told when I originally took the role. And I asked the HR recruiter who had reached out to me about the role. "Not even weekly" was what I was told. When they announced the RTO, I asked for an exception for remote (due to family obligations) and was turned down. Others who had no legal/family/health reason were allowed. I don't respect management that handles things like that. It was poorly implemented. When people pushed back managers were provided, and practiced, scripts of what to say to ease the employees. That isn't a family. That's dysfunctional. Also things move very, very, very slowly.

Pros

There are a lot of great opportunities for associates to do self-improvement through training, programs, etc. JM does not really ever turn a training opportunity or conference if it can be substantiated as a way to improve the company and you are in good standing. Mr. Moran created an fantastic and business model that has created significant barriers to entry in the market.

Cons

I've seen quite a few times where senior leaders will prevent associates from "moving up" due to personality conflicts as opposed to thinking of the business. It is a sad state of affairs that long time associates that have moved into senior positions make decisions based on protecting their position and authority in the business and not about improving the business. I've witnessed this numerous times over the past several years.
