Pros
A lot of flexibility in setting your schedule, self-directed job, work on your own, the time flies, not boring. Pays more than minimum wage. My area manager is great! She's always available and very supportive. Part-time with work done during school hours makes it a good fit for moms.
Cons
The company has reduced the Service Time (target time) they allot per store/order. Of course they didn't tell us they were doing so, but we all notice the change. An order that used to generate a 2 hr. 20 min. service time now generates a 1 hr. 50 min. service time. While the service times were not generous in the past, they are now near impossible to meet. This has led to a lot of frustration for merchandisers. Stress is increased and while the amount of money you earn is decreased. The bigwigs call this "efficiency." No raises. Ever. Not a lot of hours. I used to love this job and recommend it highly to friends. It was a great position for stay-at-home moms and retirees. It was enjoyable and not stressful. Now it's frustrating, discouraging and stressful. I could live with the intrusive, annoying tracking devices that were introduced but the decrease in service times is going too far.
