Pros
Exceptional individuals doing exceptional work. A great product that leads a dynamic and growing category. “Sink or swim” chaos makes for a lot of fast learning if you can hang on. Sales, R&D, and operations leadership is smart and earnest.
Cons
The company is a pile of lines and dots that don’t connect. Simple mistakes are made again and again in the Minneapolis Support Center, and mediocrity in go-to-market is accepted as the norm by everyone downstream. Leadership is noticeably isolated and unresponsive to new ways of working. “Stay in your lane!” is the ethos when the road has no lane markings and we’re about to run into a tree. Top leaders talk the talk, but don’t walk the walk on culture.
