Pros

Great office environment - the workplace has won architectural awards, it's gorgeous. Great people - my coworkers are the best. Jack Links is a very fast paced company and collaboration is a must. I read negative reviews about the culture on Glassdoor, and I truly don't understand how people can have that opinion. The people that work here are great. If you have a negative attitude or try to play office politics games, you will not last at Jack Links. I have recommended many family and friends to work here. I absolutely love my coworkers and role at the company. Awesome work space - the redesign of the office space has won architectural awards. Free stuff - I go to: plays, NBA games in a suite, concerts, and random promotional events roughly once a month Excellent benefits - the health care premiums are amazingly low. My wife works for a large insurance provider and we are both on my plan at Jack Links. Free parking - the company pays for you to park downtown

Cons

Tough category competitors Very fast paced work environment at times.

Pros

Used to be a fun place to work with no insecure leaders

Cons

It all went down hill for the company when they started to hire inept and insecure leaders (discard) from a big company located in downtown Minneapolis. For some reason these people came in with their own agenda and hired their friends and family and discarded all the existing folks unless they were willing to brown nose.

Jack Links is a company of hypocrisy

Pros

- Cool product - Free Jerky and occasional gifts - Not a ton of micro-management

Cons

Jack Links is a company of hypocrisy. It's a $1 billion company that forces its employees to buy their own tickets to its major events, which they have enough money to put on but can't give anyone bonuses and lay off countless people a year. They offer bare minimum for benefits, no sick days, all a very small amount of vacation days, and their upper management bullies middle management and sales, and yet they have the gall to hold an employee appreciation week. What a joke. Morale on average is terrible. There is a lot of desperation and a lot of abuse, and no one is willing to help the employees. If you wanted to work from home, reduce or increase hours, or try to convince them to change policies, they ignore you and make you get back in line. It also came to my attention that I was being underpaid for my job by around $8 - $10 per hour.
