Pros

Janrain is a work hard, play hard type of place to work. Great synergy between teams in EU region. Inspiring Global and EU leadership leading the transition to win more and more businesses and opportunities. Strong Platform now very well positioned in the Identity and now Security market now being part of Akamai. Looking forward to see where this adventure will lead us.

Cons

Very few cross functional opportunities for career development.

Pros

The enthusiasm and dedication of the collective Janrain crew has really been something to witness. You absolutely get a sense that everyone cares about the continued success and improvement of the platform and company. Though we are now under the Akamai umbrella I believe the existing ethos and camaraderie that come from a shared experience building a company from the ground up will definitely transition as we explore new horizons and opportunities.

Cons

Just the usual things that you'd find at the any typical, medium sized IT company.

* Some amazing managers dotted throughout * If you liked wearing many hats you could * Paid well * Good work life balance * Generally a friendly bunch

Cons

* Some teams were a cult of personality and actively hostile * Some employees were kept around for seemingly no reason * No structure in the company as a whole, some departments just did their own thing. * Sometimes TOO chill and slow to react.
