A Fun Job

Pros

The people. Everyone was fun to work with, I enjoyed coming to work and have made friends in the long run. Management is very approachable and really take the time to get to know their employees.

Cons

For me, JobAdder was a great place to get hands on experience in a small start up emvrionment. Some people may enjoy a more fast paced environment, but Jobadder just is a laid back company at heart.

Enjoyed It

Pros

I enjoyed my brief stint with JobAdder. While it wasn't perfect by any means, overall the culture was great, it was a fun group to work with, and I was treated well by Brett M. and Brett I. Work was for the most part challenging and interesting, and there was no shortage of it.

Cons

As I noted above, it wasn't perfect, and I doubt that the environment/culture would be a good fit for every random person off the street, but my main issue was the length of the commute (obviously not the fault of JobAdder). I was disappointed to hear that they eventually closed down their Denver office, although they did keep some employees on to continue North American operations.

Pros

I did make some nice friendships. Great offices

Cons

I was part of the 20% of the business that was laid off due to COVID19... If you don’t drink alcohol there are very little benefits in this business. Free beer doesn’t make up for lack of managerial support, career progression, work flexibility or any kind of employee benefits. The most disturbing thing about working at JobAdder is that so many people ‘disappear’ without any warning. Probation periods mean nothing. My experience is that everyone constantly feels as if they are walking on eggshells.

Thank you for taking the time to submit a review - the decision to make changes as a direct result of COVID-19 was not taken lightly and a very challenging time for everyone involved - especially those staff where their roles were no longer required. All the best and I am glad you made some friends during your time with us.
