Pros

Decent benefits, and the people across the different teams are great to work with

Cons

John Deere has sadly transformed into a company that no longer values its employees or the principles it once stood for. Recently, the new leadership made a harsh and heartless decision to lay off numerous dedicated employees, showing zero empathy or consideration for their lives and careers. Despite claiming “Humanity” as a core value, the actions of John Deere’s leadership reveal the complete opposite. We were given just a week and a half notice about the impending layoffs, causing immense anxiety and distress across the workforce. Those who remain have faced demotions and reassignments to roles that don’t align with their skill sets, as if the leadership is setting us up to fail. The severance package offered was equally insulting—just two weeks of pay for every year of service. How generous of them (being sarcastic). This pathetic gesture underscores the leadership’s lack of genuine concern for their employees’ well-being. Senior leadership, particularly at the L3 level and above, cannot be trusted. John Deere is no longer an employer of choice and is far from the company it once was. It’s a sinking ship, a major disappointment, and I urge anyone considering a position here to think twice. The hypocrisy of touting “Humanity” while displaying none is infuriating. For those considering a career here, beware: this company no longer practices what it preaches. John Deere has lost its way, and it’s a shame to see such a historic and respected company fall to this level. The morale is shattered, and the future looks bleak. John Deere has turned into a complete dump, the current CEO, John May, should step down. Avoid John Deere if you value your career and well-being. The leadership’s disregard for their employees’ lives and careers makes it clear that this is no longer a place where anyone should want to work.

Pros

The only good thing left about this company are the hard working people.

Cons

Woke leadership and BCG are ruining this company. Since May and cronies took over people are treated like garbage. They are ruining the only good thing left about this company, it’s workers.
