It’s a job. If you are looking for production work their kitchen or blending rooms are good places to work.

Cons

Long hours, management team is unfamiliar with food regulations, all they care about are numbers, legacy employees make it hard to change the culture. Half the operation is the “kill floor” rooms are too cramped for dangerous equipment and best in class practices are not implemented due to people, space or money.

Upper management has many complaints of retaliation against them. Low pay Forced overtime (6 days a week) Zero communication Extreme favoritism Hide complaints from Johnsonville headquarters Many problems with foreign material in the meat. People are held to different standards Morale is extremely bad. Almost 90% turn over rate within a year.

Cons

Toxic upper management. Never practice what the preach. Senseless overtime. Safety disregarded for lbs out the door. Difficult to advance. Office personnel receive higher bonuses, but do less work.
