Pros

This is a company that recognizes hard work. Three years in the company I was promoted six times with no previous retail experience. Journeys promotes from within based on results not tenure. Work hard and success is inevitable. I've been recruited by multiple other companies and not even once considered leaving. Journeys gave me a chance when no one else would. I'm covered in tattoos (even my hands and neck) had huge plugs in my ears and minimal work history. I can wear what I want. Make friends with customers. Hire people and change their lives. Journeys over errything.

Cons

I have no cons for this company. My job is easy. I show up. Sell stuff. Train people to sell stuff. And I go home. Life is good.

Pros

You get to be who you are, with no limitations. I have blue hair, my ears are stretched & my septum is pierced. My manager absolutely adores my look, and is a great lady to work for. Very fun & friendly atmosphere.

Cons

Horrible hours, horrible pay, and sometimes the stock days can be A LOT of work... specially if you're a high volume store!

Pros

The commission as a manager is very nice if you're doing well in sales. The store discount is very nice as well if you're a person who buys shoes or other accessories often

Cons

You have to wait an entire year to get a vacation. Even if you were promoted. The job can be extremely demanding with no rewards other than a paycheck. The sales goal model is unrealistic at times. You can work anywhere between 40-80+ hours in one week.
