Ridiculous sales goals- despite the fact I was doing well in sales (shoes and accessories wise) I got written up for not selling enough Journeys socks. WTF like customers come to Journeys to buy shoes, not socks Management was abusive and made me feel terrible for the way I approached customers even though I was still new and never had proper training on the sales floor They expect you to lay your life down for the company above education, one time I was forced to skip a day of school just to work Black Friday, my manager gave me no choice Coworkers and even manager was snipey, during breaks they would shoplift from other stores Got laid off for no reason and in the most unprofessional way, no proper document or anything they just removed me from the Telegram group chat
