Pros

Chill environment. I like the freedom of expression. The competitiveness of getting your sales goal makes the job fun.

Cons

Just run into the occasional flaky new associates. Or they'll try and steal your sales.

Pros

The discount is good for a shoe fanatic. 40% all items, whether on sale or not. There’s a lot of employee to customer communication which helps understand your business needs better.

Cons

Working over time is not paid. Time cards would get fixed to nothing over 8 hours. Company gives big responsibility to younger employees in order to not pay more for experience. They take advantage of their employees with over working and underpaying. All managers have favorites. Including District and Regional Managers.

Pros

40% off discount, meeting new people all the time.

Cons

You’re meeting new people all the time because so many quit more than they get fired There is a cap limit on the discount, for PT’s it’s 400 Management doesn’t know how to treat their PT’s You always had to be scared when the district manager came to visit. As a PT you get paid min wage and it’s definitly NOT enough for all the work that managers throw at you As a co-manager you don’t get paid enough for all the secondhand work the manager ignores and makes you do. They threaten your job constantly, but they actually need you. As a co, you work ridiculous hours, about 80-105 hours biweekly. NOTHING about this job is professional or is worth keeping, you’re forced to worry about sales that are impossible to make, push extra items onto customers that obviously don’t want them. It’s easy to become a co manager, they’ll throw anyone in that spot to just have someone. Managers get 1 day a week off, during down season you get 2 and if you want vacation time, good luck with that kid.
