Pros

Discount is 40% everything no exceptions. Easy-going co-workers. Lenient dress code and piercings and tattoos are okay.

Cons

Journeys will work you to death. As a co, i would do about 55-65 hours weekly. Overtime "pay" is a joke. Can't have a weekend day off ever. One day off a week as a co. 12 hour shifts on the weekends.

Pros

I enjoyed Journeys due to the flexible schedule. They work with you on your hours for schooling making this a very good part time job.The environment is very laid back and fun as well.

Cons

The main thing I disliked about Journeys was the sales goals. I was set up to where you would receive a write up if you didn't meet certain percentages. If you worked a scheduled like i did where it was mainly week nights when you have fewer shoppers it is very difficult to reach theses daily goals. However to other than that its a great company to work for.

Pros

the freedom that came with running a store was great, was fun meeting new people. I enjoyed being able to train others and give them an opportunity to succeed in something.

Cons

Upper management, long hours, if your not a manager or in a big volume store the pay is just not enough, too much pressure to create sales people to run stores, when operationally they are always failures and just hinders the companies success I feel.
