All work and such little pay!

Pros

Setting your own schedule through the app

Cons

They pay SO POORLY. $17.50 an hour in Chicago (my starting rate is usually $25) and the amount doesn’t change based on circumstances or the number of children. That might be an okay rate for one baby that’s asleep the whole time, but it’s the same if you’re watching 4 children under 5!

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re sorry to hear that you felt the pay was not aligned with your expectations. We strive to offer competitive compensation based on several factors including location, experience, availability, and whether a caregiver has a vehicle. Our sitter rates typically range from $17-$23/hour, and our nannies start at $23/hour and up. We also offer increased pay for caring for three or more children or for special events, and we encourage our team members to reach out proactively if they believe a shift warrants a rate adjustment. We understand that compensation is a key concern, and we’re always open to feedback and conversations around it. We appreciate all of our caregivers and the important work they do for families. If you have further feedback or would like to discuss your experience in more detail, we welcome you to reach out to the Chicago team directly.

Good part time job

Pros

Tons of freedom, get to design your own schedule, little to no oversight by management, milage reimbursement

Cons

You're discouraged from logging the hours of the calls you make to parents, you really aren't given enough materials; my biggest problem was if you weren't booked and made other plans, they could drop a job on you last minute. If you do something make sure to change your availability.
