A Place for D Players

Pros

This place seems like it should be a worthwhile company to work at. They have interesting clients, its a small company so it should have less bureaucracy and less politics, there should be lower rungs on the ladder to climb, friendlier people to interact with. They should...

Cons

but they dont. It starts with the horrible management structure they have, which is to say they dont' have one. The CEO might be a good salesman, but he has no organizational or leadership skills. Most of the time you feel like you are making things up as you go along. Your mission is not to make clients happy, it's to make the CEO happy - regardless of what BS you have to conjure up to make that happen. You will learn nothing on this job unless you want to learn about your BS conjuring skills.

Pros

Place to work if you cant find anything else.

Cons

Toxic work environment. CEO is a bully who when upset (often) looses control and publicly humiliates employees. I have seen him do this from VPs to regular employees. Seems charming and Kind until he looses his temper. The CEO things the company is a one man show and that other employees are fools. All senior managers leave the company after a few years. Working with the CEO is just not worth it. Pay is poor and bonuses are a joke. Employees were encouraged to write positive reviews on Glassdoor. Take the positive reviews in this light. If you take a job at KWI after reading this review, you have no one to blame for the result.

Pros

A great place to work at if you want to work like a robot.

Cons

The company lacks a true training structure. You are expected to learn on your own. Then you would be afraid to make any educated guesses to resolve ongoing issues. 99.99 percent of the time you are going to be wrong and you hear about. The problems are that there is no real fix for any thing. Every one would any thing just to calm down angry customers. In desperation one can become stressed and aggravated over the horrible software KWI calls a POS system. Because of the micromanaging, stress, aggravation, confusion, no real leadership, no training, poor management direction, the air condition does not work correctly, the power system goes down a lot, the mPOS crashes a lot, customer are double or even triple charge during basic credit card transactions, at least five people call out sick at any giving time. One can only wonder why any one would stay at KWI for only 3.5 years! Sad really sad... I would NOT recommend my friends to work KWI because I want to keep my friends and my friends.
