Pros

The youth served are wonderful and will inspire you to get up each day for work.

Cons

Management is like a bad high school novel, gossip, mean girls, sexual topics of conversation, bullies and unkind treatment of the youth and management continues to overlook the staff that are abusive.

Pros

Working with youth with a group of dedicated individuals is amazing.

Cons

Sometimes people outside the scope of knowledge of mental health are given power to make decisions (board members).

Great mission, poor job.

Pros

The work you are doing is important and there are few jobs as rewarding as working with the clients. The floor staff is outstanding.

Cons

Long hours, low pay due to state funding. Thankless work. Very little upward mobility. Very inflexible with schedules and requests. Little support from management.
