Pros

Kapost truly values its employees. The founders are husbands and fathers who understand the need for quality benefits like health care and competitive pay & bonuses. I've always felt like what I do at Kapost matters, and I've been surprised to receive raises and promotions on various occasions without ever having to request it. On top of the benefits, I can definitely say that I have truly enjoyed both my work and my colleagues. Kapost has harbored a culture that allows open expression, transparency, and feedback from my experience. We've also never shied away from new ways of doing things in an effort to improve process and happiness.

Cons

There are often a lot of competing demands in terms of work that comes down the pipeline. There are opportunities for improvement around how features, enhancements, and issues are prioritized.

Pros

I have been overwhelmed by the knowledge, work ethic, and warmth of the people at Kapost since I started over a year ago. It is an incredible team that works really hard and I've learned a ton from my colleagues. The company is also "growing up" operationally which is fun to be a part of (new systems and processes to ensure better scalability going forward). Because of this, there are frequent changes and some turnover, but in most cases, I've seen the turnover result in an improved, more experienced team. These changes also provide opportunity for learning and growth, which I've benefited from this year. The culture at Kapost is awesome and the team really lives the values. We also have a lot of the fun perks of a typical Boulder startup like free lunches on Fridays, dogs in the office, and working on Pearl St. is really cool.

Cons

Turnover on the teams can lead to burnout for the people that are still here (i.e. picking up the extra work for those that have left). Changes at the management level have helped with this some (less turnover), but it's something to be aware of.
