Pros

Karmak has an excellent company culture and is 100% ESOP company. Karmak is a customer-focused organization that views and treats customers like partners. Karmak invests in the success of its employees and customers. Collaboration between teams is good and improving all the time. Good teamwork starts at the leadership level, and Karmak's leadership team endeavors to model that behavior every day. Karmak embraces winning and losing as a team. The flexibility of remote work is also fantastic. Karmak has fully embraced remote work. Karmak seeks to employ the best talent possible regardless of location. There are too many "pros" to list about Karmak. If you are looking for a winning team to join, give Karmak serious consideration.

Cons

Every company has projects and days that are painful. Those painful projects and days are fewer and further between these days at Karmak. Karmak's goal is to eliminate as many cons for its employees and customers as possible. The Karmak Team believes there are always ways to improve and aggressively seeks continuous improvement in its employees, tool, processes, and products. Karmak is always open to discussing ideas that will enhance conditions for employees, customers, and partners.

Pros

The people at this company made it feel like you belonged and were happy to come to work each day to work for great customers. Health care options were suitable. Vacation for longer term employees is good. Sick days build up as well which is nice when needed. Sales, database, Devops and support teams have had good management and would be where to look when joining the company.

Cons

Senior Development management and IT need a refresh. The older development staff (who still rock) have been bypassed for newer development members who do not know any of the dev history or HD business. They do not listen or ask for advice and had have been making bad decisions the last few years making the software difficult to support. Some of this wasn't directly their fault with the past CEOs direction that led them in a bad place. IT has had its own issues which I would avoid going to this company to work for, and don't expect a good salary. Work life balance is poor. Expecting your butt to be in a seat 8 hours a day. Thinking this was the norm for so many years but other companies culture have evolved to find a better work life balance. Many core staff members across all areas have left the company leaving the company with a lack of product knowledge. Past Glassdoor reviews asked by HR recruiter to add fluff to cover up bad posts.
