High pressure from CEO; insane turnover

Pros

Cybersecurity is interesting. You're working at a fast-paced, growing company. Lots of good, talented people. If you are interested in working there, make sure to ask about the horrendous Glassdoor reviews to see if your team is affected by the culture issues -- some are better than others.

Cons

Turnover is ridiculous, people seem to be let go at a whim (even people who have managed to hang on for seven years will be fired for a personal disagreement with the CEO) and employees also quit frequently. The result of extremely high pressure from CEO/co-founder. He made a decision to expand in Japan based on his "intuition" and is putting pressure on everybody to make it pay off -- says we should be putting in extra hours like he is (even though he owns the company and the employees... do not and he isn't even paying very competitively). Has a temper and an ego, will practically yell if he's in a bad mood. People who succeed at Keeper have to totally suck up to him. Not to mention, company is very stingy with PTO and benefits. Like forreal, the bare minimum. I heard from someone who was let go that they made their healthcare expire at midnight of the day of getting fired -- didn't even give them till the end of the month to set up their next coverage. Cruel, in my opinion, especially to people who may be dealing with chronic health issues. Like seriously, you're going to make someone scramble the day of getting fired to get health insurance covered? What if they had an important appointment the next day? They have a bonus structure, where being barely paid at market value of your job is supposed to pay off with a big bonus at the end of the year. Seems to be a way to withhold compensation to convince people to stay longer.

Keeper has a very transparent culture, which is fast paced, performance driven with high rewards based on those results. We are proud to offer a leading ‘platinum’ health & benefits plan that offers great coverage for our employees (and their families) which is inclusive of domestic partnerships. COBRA continuing coverage allows our employees to elect to continue this coverage within 60 days of separation from the company and is always retroactive to day 1 of non-coverage.

Pros

-Remote -once you learn what to do it’s easy -laidback

Cons

-they’ve made a simple product a lot more complicated than it had to be. -they’ve also managed to somehow make people pay for password management which is free in both Android and iOS devices. -customers can be remarkably slow.

Keeper is proud to have the best solution in the industry and we stand behind our world-class products. We provide clear performance expectations and the necessary training and support for employees to be successful. Local regulations and HR best practices are followed in reviewing and making reasonable accommodations. Protected health issues are not a factor in separation decisions.

Pros

solid product with a great development team. the coworkers are

Cons

the leadership/middles management is horrible! which is a shame because so many of the employees are awesome and hardworking yet the leadership likes to claim all of the success as their own while blaming all of their failings on the employees. VERY toxic work culture! no work life balance or flexibility and absolute no care is given to employee well being.
