Pros

Nothing, the culture has changed a lot.

Cons

Everything! If you want upper management (CEO) to yell at you every single day threatened to fire you and tell you you're not worth it and you're lucky to work there, then this is the place for you. I have never been put down like I did at keeper, and so did my former colleagues. Turnover is VERY high. Upper management does not care about employees. This company won't last another 2 years.

We at Keeper are proud to maintain an "open-door" policy and always welcome constructive feedback. That being said, no one benefits when people choose to make overtly personal false attacks rather than adding actual constructive criticism. I've been at Keeper and have worked with its CEO since the company's inception. My tenure and the many positive reviews speak to the strength and greatness of our team and its leaders.

Why Keeper is a Toxic Place to Work

Pros

The one redeeming quality of working at Keeper is the camaraderie with direct team members. Many employees band together to support each other in an otherwise hostile environment. Unfortunately, even these connections can’t fully offset the toxic culture instilled from the top down.

Cons

Working at Keeper is not the rewarding experience you’d expect from a modern tech company. On the surface, they brand themselves as innovative and people-focused, but the reality inside is very different. The culture is authoritarian, promotion opportunities are practically nonexistent, and the benefits are lackluster compared to industry standards. One of the most demoralizing aspects of working here is the absence of upward mobility. Promotions are rare, almost impossible, and rarely tied to merit or performance. Hard work, dedication, and loyalty aren’t rewarded what matters most is how well you conform to management’s ego-driven expectations. Recognition for good work is practically non-existent, unless it’s a token gesture made for optics. You will learn quickly that no matter how much you contribute, you are disposable. The benefits package is another major letdown. While competitors offer robust healthcare, wellness support, and meaningful perks, Keeper’s benefits feel minimal and outdated. Instead of investing in employee well-being, the company operates on the assumption that people should be grateful just to have a job there. They boast and use scare tactics about the job market to get you stay and accept that you should be greatful to them. This creates a stressful environment where burnout is common, but support is nowhere to be found. Perhaps what I found most alarming is the company’s invasive behavior outside of work. There is a culture of constant investigation into employees’ personal lives, with leadership showing a disturbing willingness to dig into matters that are both irrelevant to work and legally questionable. I often felt surveilled, judged, and violated an environment that destroys trust and fosters fear is no culture you want to be a part of. You can’t consumer and credit check your employees without their prior written consent and to even considerate it let alone act on it is disgusting. The underlying tone across the organization is that people are replaceable. No matter how well you perform, you’re never safe from being discarded. Leadership treats employees as interchangeable cogs, rather than human beings, and the culture reflects that cold, transactional mindset.

We take employee feedback seriously, and would like to clarify some important points about Keeper’s culture, career opportunities, and benefits. Culture Keeper’s culture is built around collaboration, innovation, and accountability. We’re proud that many employees find camaraderie with their peers, and we work hard to ensure this extends across the organization. Our focus is on transparency, open communication and respect, with the goal of providing a supportive and engaging workplace. Career Advancement Career growth is a core focus at Keeper with well-defined career pathing, and advancement opportunities tied directly to performance and measurable achievements. We also encourage employees to explore roles across departments if they wish to expand their skills or pursue a new area of interest. Many of our leaders have advanced their careers by moving into new positions within Keeper. Benefits Keeper offers a comprehensive benefits package that is considered above industry standards for a company of our size, based on reputable third-party benchmarking sources. This includes robust healthcare coverage, retirement plan support and additional perks that promote both professional and personal well-being. Employee Privacy To be clear, Keeper does not investigate or monitor employees’ personal lives. All employees sign a sole-source employment agreement at the time of hire, which is a standard practice across many industries. This ensures there are no conflicts of interest and is communicated transparently during the hiring process. We are committed to continuous improvement and to providing a workplace where employees can grow their careers and feel supported.

Pros

My pay was decent and I liked my manager. The office was really clutch and there were always good snacks in the kitchen.

Cons

Keeper was terrible to me. Every Monday morning team call with the CEO cultivated bouts of routine nausea. Speaking to him was truly dreadful. He never let me finish a single sentence when talking to him, EVER. NOT. ONCE. Both the CEO and CTO are s0ciop@ths who wouldn't notice your deteriorating mental health or provide you with recognition as an individual if their lives depended on it. They frequently employ humiliation tactics aimed at gouging more hours of work from employees, which can be embarrassingly effective. Tenured, loyal staff members can be fired in a moment's notice based on the CEO's mood. I cried my eyes out every other week because of the insanely toxic working conditions cultivated in this company. Avoid this fate by searching for employment elsewhere.

At Keeper, we do not engage in unconstructive dialogue. Mental health is not a topic that should be used ostentatiously. We reject these harassing statements that are inconsistent with Glassdoor’s Community Guidelines. We vehemently defend our culture and our people.
