Pros

The only pro is that you can work from home.

Cons

Kelly Connect micro-manages your every move. The pay is far below the work that is demanded of you, and don't even think that you can achieve those goals. They are not designed to be achieved. You will be burnt out before you hit 2 months. In my class we had 4 - 5 people quit in one day without notice, and my classmates were all filled with anxiety and panic. And say goodbye to having a life outside of this job. Hitler would be very proud of this job's strict ethics. Here are just a few of the COUNTLESS things completely wrong with this job: 1. SCHEDULE. When you apply, you're applying to a fantasy. This job says all sorts of things that don't exist. You will NOT get a fixed schedule; your schedule is ever-changing and more fluid than liquid. 2. TRAINING. Your "training" will be 3 weeks of rushed information that is shoved down your throat and you're expected to swallow all of it. After this, you have 2 weeks of "Nesting" which is basically even greater micro-managing and control. 3. FLOW. After only 3 live chats with a mentor (CFT - customer-facing time), you are thrown out to do 2 chats at once without any warning or guidance. They told us during Academy that we would only be doing 1 chat until we were used to it. Not entirely surprised that they were also misleading about this. After 2 weeks of production (after the horrendous and sloppy training) you will be on THREE (3) CHATS at the same exact time. And you have to chat, research, and reply back to 3 people all within 2 minutes. This is hardly possible with 2 people. This would be great if human beings had more than one mind. This work will cause you to have anxiety, panic, and depression episodes because they simply ask that you do what is NOT possible or HEALTHY for a human being to do. 4. BENEFITS. There are no benefits to this job for the first YEAR that you work there. No health insurance, paid time off, vacations, holidays... forget it. They don't give you benefits because they know that most people won't stay very long and they don't want to pay for that. 5. ORGANIZATION. The entire system is ever-changing and outdated. I took a test and could not find the answer to one question, and after the test was over, I had asked my instructor where the answer was, and he was also surprised to find that it no longer existed because the database's thousands of articles are constantly changing. 6. Different managers will tell you different things, and no information is consistent. Oh, and you will have to share your screen and go on video-call VERY often to show them your room because of their ever-present paranoia that they will lose their client, Apple. Once I got passed all of this horrendous training and dealt with the management, I was excited to finally be in production. The torture was not even close to being over. You will be called upon and nearly every day to tell you exactly what you're doing wrong. And don't think that you will ever be able to do right. It does not exist. They grind you because they are being ground by the people above them. And they DO NOT care about you. They care about THEIR metrics and numbers. Finally, the Director of Operations arrogantly said that EVERY (100%) of DSAT's (Bad reviews) are yours, the advisors, fault. Even if you follow the articles 100 percent, they will nitpick them and say that it was your fault. And 90 percent of the chats/calls will not go well because you can't actually help the customer. To put this in perspective, I was at the top of my class. I survived when around 75% of my classmates either got fired or quit from the impossible standards that are set. I worked to the point of nausea and dizziness, and it will never be enough. This job is a giant facade of joys and positivity. In reality, it is underpaying, overworking, and attempting to make machines out of human beings. If you have any care or self-respect, stay far away from this ever-revolving door of a job with impossible metrics and Germany WWII inspired surveillance and micro-managing. Do yourself a favor and look for other jobs even if you land this one because it will not be long before you lose your peace and mind. They will attempt to take your humanity; don't let them.

Pros

None that I can think of.

Cons

Very, very disorganized and lacking in employee support. Took over 3 weeks to receive return label for equipment and they included instructions which stated "You are expected to return our equipment within 24 hours. Failure to return equipment will result in legal action". Really? I waited on you almost 3 weeks, sent 2 emails to check status and you expect me to make arrangements within 24 hours?? Real classy but on par with my experience with this company. I know someone who has a friend that has been waiting on return label since November of 2014..true story. My advise to others if you want Apple experience is to go with Concentrix...from what I hear the training is longer and more comprehensive. Pay a bit lower starting out but they give regular increases.
