      Excellent workplace, very nice boss

      Pros

      Working at the trading floor as a market risk analyst provides excellent opportunity to interact with LOB daily and learn the business. The boss cares about the employees and is fully supportive in improving the employees' technical skills by reimbursing for conference attendance, books, professional exams (CFA, FRM, PRM),... etc. Fun to work with the team.

      Cons

      We are working very hard to fix system issues and would be glad to see our incentive compensation aligned with the excellent work we have accomplished.

      Pros

      The people are great to work with and I've made some really good friends. The benefits and the paid time off are both good too. Job is easy enough and my goals aren't unreasonable. and are easily exceeded.

      Cons

      Communication isn't really that great from upper management. The three day training seminar that I had to go through didn't prepare me for the "real-world" job I have to do. The company seems to restructure itself every other year and that is very unsettling and office morale drops quite a bit.

      Pros

      Great vacation time, and a very good work/life balance. Willing to assist with pursuing continuing education whether it be certifications or college courses. The people are great as well.

      Cons

      Highly Silo'd environment. Although this is understandable since it is a Financial institution and as such is highly regulated. Limited opportunities to branch out and work on other technologies.
