Pros

Branch closes at 5pm Monday - Thursday. Have a nice 401K plan match.

Cons

Branch staffing - running on extremely small staff making it difficult for last minute emergency & sick day coverage + very stressful for the rest of the team. Widget sales, product dumping, no real culture within the company. Controlled vacation period, upper management does not allow employees to take more than 1 period of vacation between the months of July and September (basically all summer). Systems suck, processes are extremely slow. Branch managers are treated like bankers constantly having to sell versus letting them manage their branches.

Pros

Working with Clients - you get to know them and cheer for their success Convenient parking Lax dress code Revolving door of managers

Cons

Overworked - 9am to 5pm with a 30 minute lunch break helping clients in the lobby, drive-thru and phone, plus operations (filing, research) and vault responsibilities. Clients see the circus and express dissatisfaction - "it wasn't always like this, Key used to be a good bank!" Staffing levels cut so absurdly low that the expectation is that the "lead" teller is only person behind the teller line on a regular basis, day in and day out, which leads to longer wait times and potential for error. Other employees pitch in as they can between appointments. Management sits in office with the door closed. Leadership retaliates when employees voice concerns about operations and safety. Disgusting restroom that's open to the public and (maybe) cleaned once a week. I've seen nicer facilities in a bus station.
