Pros
Vacation is great - 4 weeks to start for all employees Work from home/flex time scheduling - usually depends on manager Relaxed work environment - also leads to some laziness, however. There was a lot of dead weight getting paid during my time, but that seems to have been dealt with during the mass layoff of 2012.
Cons
Management seems to operate on the "good old boys" premise and frequently promotes individuals based on favortism, rather than actual ability. There are opportunities to move around within departments, just make sure to make yourself stand out and get in good with the right people.
