Pros

Some innovative and passionate people in parts of the company.

Cons

Most of the revenue is led by people with no innovation, no vision, and think that it's still 2006. corporate is focused on the chicago office. and that office is not going to last with all of the competition and poor sales.

We will continue to work our "2016" plan and feel we are really helping our schools and their students make a difference. Wish you all the best in your next endeavor. Steve

Pros

A very casual dress code, lots of PTO and free soda.

Cons

Plattform seems good on paper. When you're hired you're promised the moon in terms of company culture, benefits and growth opportunities to make up for the lack luster pay. Management spends a lot of time self congratulation, telling you how nice they are for bringing in a food truck or hosting a mandatory picnic while chipping away at your benefits and sticking you with longer hours. Also their paid benefits are a lie, they clearly tell you after you're hired how much of your pay is going to benefits, your salary is what left over after paying for your benefits, they just word it in a tricky way. You are encouraged to finger point, there's a whole system in place to do it. Your manager and emailed form upper management instruct you to blame someone if there are any issues on any project. You will not be developed at all as an employee. For the first year I was with Plattform I had training opportunists, classes and more available to me all the time. However in the past three years those have all gone away. All promotions are given to outside heirs. Nepotism has also been a huge problem in the past. The kids and friends of upper management are often given do nothing positions within the company.

Pros

A lot of flexibility in your schedule Meeting great colleagues

Cons

I don't know where to begin really - to sum it up: high expectations, low pay, if you're not a "favorite," just run. Their motto: we want you to perform miracles, work 50 hours per week to place students meant to be placed by two or three specialists, but we're willing to pay you in motivational speeches. Extreme burnout from wonderful, smart, hardworking people. The management? Don't get me started - they are clueless, arrogant and chosen for their ability to "nod and say yes to everything" rather than promoting people for their competence. Lets not forget the nepotism - they will undermine and demoralize the real talent and pick completely incompetent "leaders." Promotions and opportunities are handed out based on personal connections, yet during review time they tell you that you are doing great (but here is a 2% raise). Overall, it was a wonderful company a few years ago, but quickly turned into a very challenging environment where talent is constantly undervalued. If you are looking for a job that expects 110% for 50% pay, KP is your dream come true. Salary Insurance Premiums Lack of promotions Lack of competent managers that truly care Nepotism Don't even get me started with HR - they are clueless
