Pros

Fantastic place to start right out of college. You will be able to build a large network of people. You will learn various new skills since people have to wear multiple hats due to being overworked. Work/Life Balance You will be able to get in at 8:30 and leave at 5:00. You won't get promoted that way, but no one gets promoted anyway so just punch the clock. Free Soda Machine Get as much as you want. No strings attached on that one. Holiday Week Off Christmas or News Years week off is pretty nice. Followed by you have 10 PTO/Sick days for the year. So enjoy that holiday break.

Cons

#1 2015-2016 Goal They listed improve the financial bottom line. Seriously? #2 2015-2016 Goal Employee engagement. Yep, that is par for the course listing your employees 2nd. Upper Management You never see these guys. Some are in Chicago and others just don't make their faces known. It is a huge miss from what we had a year ago when they were actually trying to turn this place around. Middle Management Most of these guys/gals will actually care about you as a person, but they have no actual power to do anything positive for your career. Unfortunately some of them might tell you otherwise to entice you to stay. PTO PTO for anyone working there less than 5 years is terrible at 10 days pto/sick. Insurance Insurance got worse this last year (helping that bottom line) Dental even got lowered on the quality of coverage Standard Office Items They down graded their coffee that is free to employees before I left. So everyone had to start buying and bringing in their own coffee makers, coffee, and K-cups. Game room is listed as a perk, but you won't have time to use it. If you do you will be a slacker. If you need good office supplies or monitors or even a chair you literally have to wait for someone to quit and claim their stuff. Not kidding. 2015 Reviews and Raises This was the snowball in my opinion. After change upon change the company average raise was below 4%. HR did a horrible job promoting this as performance based raises when really it was barely even a cost of living raise to cover insurance changes. If you had a great year with no negative marks your raise was still garbage. Promotions They hang this over employees heads since most people are younger and working hard to get more money. The New Name Weeks after recovering from the raise announcements employees were invited (required) to attend an all company meeting at Sporting KC Park. Upper management announced a new brand for the company. How did they chose this brand you ask? They said that an outside company was paid to help them come up with the name. Could have used that money for raises and asked your talented staff to come up with new brand ideas! Cubicles They are not cubicles they are 6 person pods. So each pod has 6 desks in it. If you hate the people you sit with your job will be that much more fun. Shocked by the Reviews on Glassdoor Either current staff/management are posting positive reviews to help with recruiting or more people are asleep to what is going on there than I thought. OPM Division Sinking thousands of dollars into this part of the company trying to mirror what some of the current upper management did at their last company. From all the updates I ever heard it seems like a huge cluster. CEO Response to My Review Don't say I should have come talked to you. You were hardly ever in KC and it would have done nothing but anger my bosses that I went straight to you with problems. Clearly noted concerns were not getting to your desk or you weren't doing anything with them. You will say that you guys are trying hard with employees, but the place sucked to work at. Investment Company Keypath Education is owned by an investment firm. When investment firms want there money back what do you think happens? 1. Budget Cuts 2. Poor Raises 3. Stop back filling positions 4 Reduce spending anywhere possible 5. Layoffs (maybe someday?)

I normally take the time to respond to criticism if I believe you want to improve the company. These comments are just to bash all the employees’ hard work. They are not constructive or correct in any way. We wish you the best.

Pros

None. If you read the "positive" reviews on here they are part of the system of deception. They are not treating their employees with respect.

Cons

My review will focus on why current employees need to leave this company, and encourage future employees to NEVER work here. They have an HR department that is trying to grow the company but the worst part is that they can't keep up with the turnover. HR needs to hire a 3rd party to help hire people to work here. Keypath will do their best to create a mirage of growth, but it's not because of opportunity, instead it's because of turnover. In the very short 4 year existence of this company they have burned and churned more employees that I've ever seen in my life. They can't train people fast enough before a "veteran" quits. The "pro" of this company is they try to keep employees by having parties, awards, or stupid incentives that can't keep people in their seats. I'd give this company a ZERO if I could, but this site doesn't allow that. Let's move on from the "pros" that don't exist to the real CONS that do. I'm sure everyone has seen a post or an article about why people quit their jobs. Most of them state that people quit their jobs not because they dislike their work, but they quit because management is terrible. That was my case at Keypath. This is my real focus, and I'll give many reasons why. I know that the CEO will do their best to dispute all of this. If they truly were a transparent company then they would do their best to rectify the problem. I'll focus on my former boss that works there. 1) Development - they don't know how to develop anyone in this field because they NEVER done this job. A lot of people will say that you don't have to do this job in order to manage people. They will go back and forth on this to always prove their point. If you confront them then they will say that their experience in developing people, but when they are asked a question about the job they will turn to the people that make them look good. A true leader can lead and do the job. Favoritism - Yes, all companies has this problem, but they are the worst when it comes to this. Should management have pet names for 2 employees on a team of let's say 15? When management walks in and ignores everyone on the floor but 3 people that's a problem. Let's just say that their pet names aren't work appropriate for the first 2 and the third one was irrelevant. A CEO shouldn't turn a blind eye to a manager that has pet names for the only women that get promoted. If you doubt these accusations I'm sure that you can reach out to the company that has multiple former employees accusing them of this. Turnover - there are 3 business units that recruit students. The funny thing is that the "BEST" manager they have has the HIGHEST turnover in the company. The worst part is that HR can't fill seats fast enough. Knowledge - what happens when employees have more knowledge than their manager. What happens? Employees will leave because they are tired of carrying someone that doesn't have a clue to do anything. Time Management - it's very unprofessional when your manager comes in to complain about working late. You don't work late because you are too busy. You are working late because you don't have a clue. "Hey, everyone I'm eating my lunch at 3 pm because I'm busy." No, you are eating your cottage cheese at 3 because you are too busy talking about your current and former employees behind their backs. Yes, whether you work there now or the past they will talk about you. Promotions - I can go on all day and night about them, but the rest of the management is just as terrible. They promote that their company is built on referrals. It's not built on that! They promote who they want when they want. A manager was promoted because the VP. Your training when you get hired is terrible. You need to earn a "bus driver's license" to work there. What does that have anything to do with graduate programs is beyond me? When an HR department, CEO, and management supports a terrible manager. You need to quit.

If you know me you know I listen to all thoughts, both good and constructive. If you know me you know I have said we are growing quickly and have certainly made mistakes during these periods. But, let’s speak to facts. We recently conducted a Gallup survey and almost 250 employees responded. We received a 50% engaged workforce versus 15% national average. We also scored very well in their Q-12 scores compared to our peers. So while I appreciate and can accept the fact you did not have a great experience your comments don’t reflect the majority. With all that being said, we are not perfect and happy to discuss 1/1 to hear context to your concerns. I take all these very seriously and want a culture of excellence to grow. Look forward to future discussions. Steve

Very difficult company to work for

Pros

Working with students to finish their education

Cons

The scarcity of development opportunities, along with a clique driven culture leads to a very divisive environment. Management knows this, but in many instances they promote it with their bias judgment decisions and preferential treatment to specific employees. The turnover is absolutely ridiculous for a company this size.

Appreciate your comments and very sorry you did not have a great experience at Keypath. Not sure what location you worked at or global office? We do think of culture here and if you have been at my all staff meetings and emails you would have seen how we reward folks how embody our core values. As it relates to turnover, we are always trying to improve turnover. But without specifics I will give you some global facts. Keypath has over 50% employees in "Engaged" compared to national average of 15% according to Gallup. This is not to say we don't have room to improve I just think the way you classified our organization is not 100% correct. With all that being said I would love to speak to you. Please email me at steve.fireng@keypathedu.com Thanks again
