Pros

The kids you work with are great

Cons

Little to no support, awful benefits with no 401k match and you can’t even afford to put money into a retirement account with what they pay. Management sits up front, watching cameras and talking badly about staff and children/families. Not very professional and only care about how many kids they can shove in a room to make money. Teachers are often left over state ratios with no help, even if you call up front. They expect you to have multiple lesson plans for every day and you’re lucky to get an hour a week to plan with the one laptop they have for staff. They have none of the books or materials needed in the lesson plan books from corporate. The environment is always stressful and you are overworked and underpaid.

Pros

Commutable distance from home. Nice offices. You can go for walks during your lunch break sometimes and there are convenient food options not too far from the office.

Cons

Poor work environment in some of the sections which rapidly contributed to lack of interpersonal respect, distrust of coworkers, micromanagement, and fear of reprimand for the slightest infractions. Witnessed hard working and professional coworkers be beaten down over time by oppressive management. Almost no diversity (98% one ethnicity). On many occasions I watched good ideas from competent members being disregarded due to either politics or assumptions that only certain and few voices were worthy of being heard for even basic debate. Felt used and run down. Sought employment elsewhere.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. Listening to input from former colleagues provides valuable perspective that helps us uphold our commitment to being an employer of choice. We strive to create an environment that promotes collaboration and values each team member’s contributions to our company. We believe that our inclusion on the Baltimore Business Journal Best Places to Work list, as well as the long-term tenure of the majority of our employees demonstrates this commitment. We are disappointed to hear that this was not your experience and wish you the best of luck in the future.

Cons

The management team sucks . from the regional director to the center director Hena in Gainesville. They treat the employees like dirt don't want to pay them half the time and cut your hours every chance they get. Not to mention they don't hardly feed the children and on occasion water down the milk when they don't want to by any
