      The only pros were the children and the supportive parents

      Cons

      The Owner was horrible! She had no clue how to run the facility, very unorganized. The owner did not provide proper training employees and there was always a problem. Hours were being cut constantly, never did I work a full time day. The owner had her favorites and only catered to them. The morale was not there she barely cared about the teachers just smiled in the face of the parents.

      I could not have asked for a better first job in such a caring and supportive environment! I have been a Teacher's Aide for about a year and a half now and I always love coming in to work. The management here is very friendly and my coworkers are always wonderful. If I ever need time off they are more than happy to work with me as long as I give them as much notice as possible, which is always helpful when something happens or I have class, since I am a college student. I cannot imagine ever finding a workplace with a more loving and family feeling staff than at Kiddie Academy of Ellicott City!

      I am only a part-time aide so I do not get the full benefits that all the fulltime workers get.

      I have so much. Absolute horrific things from the owner. Horrible things happen and KA doesn’t help. I reached out to KA and was told they don’t get involved because each operations “is independently owned and operated.” Aka, anything can happen and they won’t help. There is so HR to go to (as experienced in above example) and no help. Worked minimum 9 hour days, almost always more, and never got breaks. The owner will take others to coffee to show them your emails and texts to complain/laugh at you. Your personal info will be shared. Toddlers- 4’s are combined in the same classroom for the majority of the day. Staff members are treated horriblyyyy please don’t do this to yourself! This is just tip of the iceberg
