Pros

Employees insist on having fun. Company focus on mission and values, always has an eye on what needs to be done to further them. Employee rate at other Kimptons. Travel, if you're open to working at other Kimptons. Fun atmosphere. Each property really is like a family. We take care of one another.

Cons

Autonomy and empowerment are pushed really hard by management, this translates to no staffed IT or human resources person at each property (accounting does all HR work in my region) It's a management company; they need to perform very well without using much money so the returns go to ownership, e.g. long hours for very little pay. Incredibly high turnover.

Pros

Some benefits Decent Pay Good co-workers Vacation paid

Cons

This company does not support the employee in the career path. They are supposed to assist the employee in transfers after six months, but this is false, hiring managers use any reason to not provide the transfer. Too much favoritism to promote employees instead of analyze the background and qualifications. HR department is very uncooperative and leave intern clients adrift, specially at requesting transfer or applying for another vacancy. Since Nikki Leondakis left is not the same. Some restaurant managers are not approachable GM Meetings discuss only about the good things they want to hear but never ask if there is a negative aspect that affects the employee's welfare.
