      Pros

      Most of my co-workers are good people and enjoyable to be around. It feels good to make guests happy, but it is generally an acting job. There is a lot of "sad clown syndrome" in the industry. However, I learned a lot and will know what to look for in my current job search.

      Cons

      Kimpton touts itself as this top-10 company, but I'm not really sure why. Is it the ridiculously low pay? Crazy turnover? Incompetent management? The reviews on here are a real head-scratcher.

      Pros

      The culture at Kimpton is amazing. It's a growing company so there's lots of room to grow within and they like to hire from within.

      Cons

      11 days a year of PTO is atrocious. Kimpton pretends to be a progressive company but it squeezes all the life out of it's employees. The employee rate benefit they promote is basically non-existent. If you're thinking of working for Kimpton hotels because you like their hotels, move along. You will not have enough time off or a decent enough salary to go on vacation, and you will never find an employee rate available.
