Pros

Management is honestly here to help us get more sales. Training is second to none, helped get licensed and trained on systems quickly. Company offers great products to customers, makes the process very gratifying. Very collaborative atmosphere with coworkers all helping out. Company transparent about things going on in the company.

Cons

It's honestly been great working here and I don't have a bad thing to say. Best place I've worked in my professional career.

Great Place to work

Pros

Work from Home Base plus commission Its a pretty laid back place to work not overly stressful and if you put in the work you will be rewarded. Working from home can be tough but the structure keeps you focused. Paid training and licensing

Cons

Working from home can sometimes make communication tough so it may be a little bit until you get an answer. The job is pretty repetitive so it can get boring at times. Its still a new company so a lot changes which can also be a pro.

All Around Great Company

Recommend

Business Outlook

Pros

Competitive pay Strong team/all hands on deck atmosphere, with even executive level employees assisting when needed Most positions are remote Lots of opportunities for growth within the department you're hired into and within other departments High levels of transparency in terms of goals, progress towards goals, specific long and short term plans, hiring of executive roles Decent to good benefits (PTO, health/life insurance, paid and floating holidays, etc) Leadership is open to feedback and treats the members of their team well Actively demonstrates their dedication to diversity and inclusive of all races, genders, sexual orientations, disabilities in training resources

Cons

Very few: Health insurance isn't top tier Company is new, so there are expected growing pains and turnover- many departments are still creating and revising training materials

Pros

I love working at Kin because all of the employees are so helpful, The managers do a wonderful job at coaching and training and keeping great momentum. My manager in particular Melissa Shiha is wonderful at that! She just wants us to do our best and helps us meet our goals!

Cons

not much, just in some areas the premiums seem to be very high

Pros

There are some nice people at Kin.

Cons

The business model does not work. I find it hard to believe that Kin will ever become profitable as a result. The work environment is quite toxic and "Managers" are overworked and as a result, literally don't respond when you reach out to them. The training is a train wreck. You are given so much to learn in back-to-back sessions, that it's literally impossible to retain because it's tremendous information overload. The trainers are snarky and seem exasperated that you can't possibly learn everything. I passed my licensing exams on the first try, however because the training is so extensive - with none of it being "actionable" in real time, it was impossible to have the needed information to pass onto the customer. The toxicity of management is palpable. It's a churn & burn culture and I feel sorry for people who have to work there and so glad after six months I realized it was all smoke & mirrors and found a good job.

Pros

-Pay you to get your license if you don’t have one -Simple training, they pay you to study and pass! -Base pay is just about what every other sales job around here is paying, plus you get commission -Amazing training-extremely supportive -Remote job -Most colleagues were friendly and helpful -Private company with very generous benefits regarding medical leave -Fun job if you are a “people person” -company that is on the rise!

Cons

-I was a little upset about the recruitment...was not informed I would pay for my leads...not sure if that’s a “thing” anymore -Benefits are not as good health insurance wise... for an insurance company...high cost
