Pros

BCBAs matched with Mentors for regular collaboration and case conceptualization, 20% case supervision (or more if clinically recommended), lower than average case loads, lots of support for RBTs, many student opportunities, relatively large clinic space, strong and invested leadership.

Cons

Parking can be an issue during peak hours. No outdoor playground.

Pros

Most RBTs hires are doing their coursework in ABA— meaning most RBTs really are passionate about the science and learning the techniques and applying research. Their founder and clinical director are positive and optimistic. They hired two new MBA guys as CEO and CFO to re-vamp the company from the bottom up. All employees I’ve talked to have had positive remarks about the changes they’ve made and have mentioned the huge improvements, particularly in the last six months. Caseloads are targeted to be small— while this hasn’t been the case in the past it’s the model they’re moving toward. A good thing, i.e. quality care versus expanding services carelessly and rapidly. Lots of room for moving up within the company, including free supervision for BCBA students. All BCBAs have a dedicated mentor— there is always someone to offer guidance and help. Data collection, reports, and all paperwork is entirely online, accessible from nearly any internet-enabled platform. Positive morale— again, a change. Previously employees remarked about either not getting enough hours, or feeling spread thin. The re-vamping is remediating that. In addition, I will say onboarding here was a great experience— there weren’t any employees who did not make me feel welcome. Literally everyone is friendly and kind.

Cons

It’s a bit of a drive. A clinic near the Aberdeen area would be great. Maybe later on down the road! Also, incoming BCBAs may not find initial compensation to be as competitive as other ABA companies, as CCABA has three clinics (overhead costs) and has begun to strive for smaller caseloads.
