Pros

Mostly quality programs and ability to work with knowledgable BCBA peers. Pay is competitive for BCBA. Have clinic and home programs for a variety of experience.

Cons

Management is poorly organized, schedules poorly managed Programs are dictated by what clients can afford/what insuring provider can pay, not clinical recommendations. Technicians poorly trained or lack relevant experience

Pros

-Working 1:1 with kiddos with autism and having a chance to have a positive impact in their lives. -If working towards BCBA, they provide supervision and opportunities for collecting indirect hours (direct hours are obtained on the job)

Cons

-Was promised 30-40 when hired and that promise was never kept. -They claim to have flexible scheduling however schedule often looks like 8am-7pm with large gaps throughout the day. -Hours and staffing has been the "buzz" among most recently hired (within the last year) RBTs. Everyone was told they could easily get 30-40 hrs a week upon hire. The complaint of not enough hours has been brought to those in charge and they keep saying they have a "system in place" to help get new hours for people. They hire at least 10-15 new people every month and typically the hours that current staff have been requesting for months goes to the new employees. There has been a lot of turn over just in the last 6 months of staff being hired and then leaving because not enough hours are being offered. $15/hr for 12-20 hrs a week is not enough to survive on when supporting a family.
