      Collaborative environment. Really does care about it's employees. Dev's work on meaningful projects that solve practical, real world problems.

      Pros

      Kitware offers all the usual benefits (health care, vision, dental, short / long term disability and life insurance, 401(K) with company matching contribution, FSA, 6+ weeks paid time off, etc.), plus you get to work on some great projects that really make an impact in the world (and most of Kitware's work is released as part of one of their popular open source platforms such as CMake, VTK, ParaView, ITK, or Slicer).

      You need to be motivated / self-directed to succeed at Kitware.
