      Pros

      Kitware provides a flexible working environment and allows me to work around my family obligations. I am empowered to pursue my research and commercialize the results.

      Cons

      The majority of Kitware customers are in the government. External contracts/consulting require strict time tracking / charging.

      Pros

      They're big on work-life balance and truly encourage you to take full advantage of the benefits. The benefits package is quite good.

      Cons

      For too many of the projects, there's too much emphasis on the quantity of time spent, and not the quality.
