Pros

Lots of opportunity for personal and professional growth, unlimited PTO, fun coworkers and managers, very unique parties/experiences. If you hate remote work, the in-office environment is very energetic and welcomes people with open arms.

Cons

As another review stated, the "Company-Wide Monthly Bonuses" are incorporated into your base pay but the range of cash you get can fluctuate wildly. It also serves as an excuse to underpay for the area. The biggest con is the company forcing a return to office. Certain departments are getting full remote while others are not allowed, which feels really cheap. When the company culture can't be upheld over remote, it may be weaker than it really seems.

Hello. We are striving to strike the right balance between remote work and office work. While we understand the appeal of remote work, we also see the collaborative power of office work. As the state of the world continues to change, we will surely be adapting our remote work policies and your feedback helps us to do that in the best way possible. We will be sure to keep you, and all Knowsters, informed if there are any future changes in our policies. It is also important to note that our monthly bonus game is separate from base pay. All employees at KnowBe4 have a competitive base pay, which is adjusted yearly based on inflation. Though, we certainly tell candidates to consider our bonus program when considering employment at KnowBe4, as our bonuses are quite large. Through our monthly bonus plan, every employee (subsequent to the first 90 days of employment) can earn between $0 and $2,000 per month based on sales. We started this in 2015. Since then, the lowest it has been is $7,500 per person in a year and the highest it has been is $17,800 per person in a year. This is definitely a factor to take into account when evaluating total compensation packages.

Pros

They put a lot of support behind their employees. There's extensive training and onboarding, ongoing coaching, and a career coach you can book time with. You are encouraged to explore potential career paths and apply for jobs you're interested in. Company-wide monthly bonuses are also a plus.

Cons

Work life balance is not really a reality for revenue roles. There is unlimited PTO, but you are still expected to hit your numbers for that month (which means making up those calls, etc. on other days). You are expected to spend time every week on education, but time is not allowed for that, it's something you have to do on your own time. Benefits for the individual employee are good but the cost to cover a family is very high for a company of this size.

Hello, I also think KnowBe4 is a great company if you’re early in your career, and I think it’s a great company for those later in their careers too! As you said, KnowBe4 provides a lot of coaching and training, which means our employees are constantly learning, growing, and preparing to be able to step-up into new promotions. As you mentioned, we even encourage employees to take 5 hours a week to focus on continued education. This is not required but highly encouraged and can even be done during working hours. I hope you took advantage of all our training and development benefits while you were working here and wish you the best of luck on your future career journey.

Need Better Work/Life Balance, Support on New Projects

Pros

Bonus structure and unlimited PTO are the two major pros. We work on a lot of cool projects in an exciting and growing industry. I have seen a lot of career growth although that has slowed a bit in the last couple of years - I do see that starting to get back to where it used to be.

Cons

Work life balance has drastically changed since the beginning of the pandemic. We have been consistently asked to do more with less, and are just now starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel with the posting of positions that have been needed for years. Many large projects get delayed (in some cases years) that would automate our processes and free up time to work on new innovations. Most upper and middle management put in a lot of extra hours week after week which sets the tone for the whole department that full time (45 hours/week) still isn't enough. I sincerely hope that is starting to change.
