Avoid if you like job safety or any employee appreciation
Pros
My manager was amazing (they obviously also left the company), and work life balance was pretty good. It depends on who your boss is, but mine had no issues with doctors appointments or sick days. They do offer “unlimited” PTO, but I did hear through the grapevine that leadership capped it at two weeks without making an official announcement about it. Gotta love the ol’ bait and switch.
Cons
I loved it when I first started but almost 2 years in there had been 4 unexpected rounds of layoffs. Including this last one 1 day before our Christmas holiday break. They also let people go in GROUPS, if that gives you any idea how little they value their employees. How many rounds of layoffs do they have to do to realize it’s a leadership issue?? If you like being on edge and fearful for your job at all times, this is the place for you. Don’t expect any additional compensation or salary increases, they don’t do it. There is absolutely no incentive to do your job well here, and there is little to no upward mobility. They dangle bonuses over everyone’s heads, but no one I spoke to has ever seen them. They boast about opening this random hotel in Europe and how “well” we’re doing, drop thousands of dollars on “client dinners”, and spend $10k on a professional coffee maker no one uses, but refuse to actually invest in their people. If I could give negative stars I would, this place is a sinking ship. Word travels fast in this industry, and they should be so embarrassed.
