Pros

The people, by far. A lot of folks there are really kind and caring. Mostly teammates and other devs. There are some bonus benefits and certifications covered by the company (Like AWS, Azure, Java, etc). Good social events, if you are into them.

Cons

Most of the projects are really bad or offer almost 0 value to your career. I agree that you can always learn even from those experiences, but it feels horrible to dedicate hours of work in tasks and areas that are boring, meaningless or even far from what your area is (Like a Dev working as a QA for months). The culture might feel a bit overwhelming for people who are not used to or interested in social events. The problem with what I mentioned above is that promotions are based on two things: 1. If you are starting as an intern, they are going to promote you, probably just to make you feel better. 2. And the most important one, if your superiors like you. It all feels based on this, there are several comments mentioning it, and I can confirm it. They are progressively trying to bring people back to the office, showing that they did not learned anything from the pandemic. The strategy mentioned about mostly hiring interns is true. Like I never saw a senior being hired, just new and fresh college graduates or really young people. So you can be replaced in doing a boring tasks in a horrible project by any other new and naive intern, I guess they see it that way. Your feelings and mental health are not the priority, money is. But I guess this is a rule in a lot of places, that's how this world works... sadly.

Pros

- You can make great friends - You can learn a lot from your projects - Raises each 6 months on your first 2 years

Cons

- It's been mentioned a lot, but office culture, for some reason they despise WFH. Now it's mandatory to go to the office twice a week and there's no guarantee that they won't increase the office days even further in the future. - Also mentioned a lot: party culture, they want everyone to be extroverted and participate in social activities. Management makes you feel bad for being introverted or simply not participating in such activities. - Clear favoritism towards people who think just like them, they don't receive criticism very well and promotions mostly go to those who show to think alike. - They fire people without any notice, no matter if the person was a manager already. - When someone quits they ask the person to not say anything until the very last day of their notice. For some reason they're too sketchy with farewells overall. - Also related to farewells, when someone quits or is fired they try to make the person look like a bad guy, like trying to convince the rest that they were a black sheep in the family. - A few projects are known for being boring and freeze your career growth, if you get assigned to one of them you're basically condemned because you won't be moved out. - They don't pay overtime, but expect you to work extra hours - It's very common to be overworked, but management doesn't listen to you if you say something about it since they also see that as a normal way for people to give the extra mile and demonstrate their commitment. - Benefits are lackluster for the industry. - Low retention of experienced talent, they're known as a company for juniors. - They're also known for telling employees to write random short reviews on this site with 5 stars just to pump their numbers up.

Pros

Salary WFH (for now) You can rely on your social skills instead of your technical skills for promotions

Cons

Overtime No sicks leaves No WFH (they will stop once the pandemic hits a lull), management likes to keep eyes on you at all times Old tech They will fire people for no reason, I lost 4 co-workers in the last 2 months Frat-like environment Promotions are hard to earn, it took me years to become senior even when my work was better than most
