Pros

I’ve really enjoyed working at Kreischer Miller. The culture here is genuinely supportive and collaborative—people are approachable and always willing to help, which makes a big difference day to day. There’s a strong emphasis on professional growth, with plenty of opportunities to learn and advance. I also appreciate the work-life balance initiatives, like having Thanksgiving week off and flexibility outside of busy season. Leadership is transparent and cares about employee well-being, which creates a positive environment.

Cons

That said, like most public accounting firms, busy season can mean long hours and heavier workloads. Some roles, especially in audit, involve travel and less flexibility, which might not suit everyone.

Interview and Onboarding Experience

Pros

Interview process was smooth and moved quickly. Kristin, the Director of Talent Acquisition, is such a pleasure to work with and made sure to answer all questions you had. Process started began with an interview with Kristin, then about a week later an interview with a fellow manager and a director, and then finally interview with the department head. Everyone one was a pleasure to speak with and all were open and up front with any questions or reservations I had and you could tell that everyone is passionate about working here (and was even more noticeable once I started). Once hired, the on-boarding process was very in depth and thorough. You can tell they took the time to make sure on-boarding was structured and organized, which is a change from my previous firm. There were many scheduled lunches with fellow managers and directors which I found helpful in building early relationships.

Cons

Part of onboarding included "shadow days" with other managers. I think the concept is a good idea, but I think providing some structure to the managers being shadowed would be beneficial.

Pros

Flexible schedule. Generous PTO. Career development and growth opportunities.

Cons

Nothing glaring. Busy season hours are long, but that is expected and universal for all public accounting firms.
