Pros

None at all! Can't think of one pro.

Cons

Low, insulting pay. Unrealistic expectations. Horrible Management. Unbelievable turnovers. HR Dept. are unfriendly, stuck up people who don't even speak when they pass you. They also believe gossip that they hear. Not one black person has an office...ONLY white people! Worse company I've ever come across. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME INTERVIEWING...UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE TREATED LIKE A SLAVE!

The most important thing to address is your concern regarding potential discrimination. As can be observed from the photographs of Company Events posted to our page, we have a very diverse group of individuals working at our Corporate Office. We want everyone to feel welcome, included, and part of the team. Our published policies are very clear about providing a safe and inclusive work environment for all employees. Anything that is not in line with providing a welcoming environment should be brought to the attention of a Manager, the HR Team, or, if you aren't comfortable approaching these individuals, L&R Distributors has an External Human Resources Consultant who visits the office regularly, and he is available to all employees to discuss concerns confidentially. Regarding the distribution of Office Space at our Industry City Offices. The decision was to keep offices for only members of the Executive Team, the Human Resources Team, and/or Managers who have a specific role that requires confidential discussions or regular meetings with clients, vendors, or customers. All members of Staff have access to Hotel Offices (empty offices that are reserved for meetings) or our Conference Room or Huddle Room. These offices are available to all staff. Compensation is always a topic of discussion as the Leadership Team wants to provide the best package that we can afford. As a National Wholesale Distributor employing individuals across the United States, there are many factors to consider. We have made many attempts over the past few years to provide the best package possible including: Consolidating our Benefits Offerings across the Organization to lower Premiums and offer better quality insurance options; Reviewed our Salary Bands against Job Descriptions and DOL Data by Region; Develop a Career Path which has resulted more leadership roles for high-performing staff. At the Corporate Office we have also held several raffles to win tickets to sporting events or attend other outings. Additionally, we've held Bowling Nights and other events for Office Staff. We've noted that you are a Former Employee, but we still invite you to contact the Human Resources Team to discuss any specific concerns that you've had as we are always working toward offering the most inclusive environment and competitive employer brand possible.

Pros

Some flexibility with time. Remote work available.

Cons

Nepotism reigns supreme. Below market compensation in a company that can't seem to get out of its own way in adapting to its growth. Still operating an IT department that is more reflective of a small mom & pop shop it is devoid of normal standards of a company of their size; no fully functional development vs live environments, no formal specifications (constantly flying by the seat of their pants), minimal version control, use of questionable outdated "freeware" that fails all too often impacting major accounts, and too cheap to bring in resources to deal with long standing issues which become a daily nightmare of helpdesk tasks. Poor advanced planning on projects causes some to throw people under the bus. Common SDLC methodologies, what's that? Security concerns have overlooked some of the easiest items to rectify. HR seems to lack basic wage & hour law knowledge.

Pros

The people you work with are really nice.

Cons

The level of respect for the employees is egregious. Pay is laughable. A happy work environment is always preached, but never practiced.
