Pros
I have been employed with L&R Distributors for the past two years. On January 21, 2016 the Company had its first annual L&R Way Day which began the rollout of our Corporate Brand guided by 10 Principles. The Company also announced its plan to relocate its Corporate Headquarters to Industry City in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. This move should take place by April 2017. The Company is also building a new Northeast Warehouse facility which will be located in Monroe Township, NJ. With the rollout of The L&R Way, the new Distribution Center, and Corporate Office locations, the Company is investing in the staff and continuing its growth. L&R Distributors offers employees to gain experience in their field/profession. It also provides an entrepreneurial atmosphere where employees are urged to offer new ideas, feedback, and take chances.
Cons
The Company grew rapidly through merger and acquisition, this lead to a tight budget from 2013 through 2015 and a salary freeze. This was ended when the Company offered a Cost of Living Increase followed by implementation of annual performance appraisals. The Company is working to grow and stay relevant in an old industry, this means that it runs lean and expects a lot out of employees, though, it's a net gain for employees looking to work hard and make a name for themselves.
