Some opportunity to work on meaningful programs.

Cons

Managers have been required to give low ratings to about 1 in 5 employees, although it varies. This philosophy ensures that managers are strategizing on how they will manage employees to fail in order to meet this ridiculous bell curve. Over 20 years with the company, I have seen benefits drastically cut and employee morale has declined substantially.

An overwhelming corporate mess that seems to care more about it's appearance than it's employees

Pros

- Starting pay is good for the area - Vacation and sick time policy is pretty generous - Some of the people are pretty decent

Cons

- raises are pretty disappointing - expectations for receiving a higher raise are essentially unreachable by non-management - Treats it's employees like objects, moving then around projects as the upper management sees fit, with little to no concern of the employee's wants or goals. - While said transfers are "voluntary" there is a heavy feeling that it will reflect poorly on your reviews, and thus raises, if you don't comply - Corporate seems to push all the buzzword business strategies (matrix organization, six sigma, Agile, etc) without actually bringing in experts or properly training current managers

L3H employees many bright, hardworking and committed people.

Cons

Unfortunately, many of those outstanding employees are absolutely miserable due to the ineptitude of management and unrealistic expectation pushed down from the top layers of the corporation.
